TLAB Meeting – Mon, Mar 24th
The Transportation Lab is a Local 20/20 Action Group working to promote a transportation system that minimizes need for personal motor vehicles. Such a transportation system must be safe, convenient and healthy, and it must be based on: people walking, the most healthful mode; people bicycling, the most efficient mode; mass transit, the most efficient for moving large numbers of people; and private vehicles for providing services and moving small numbers of people.

WSU/NODC Farm Grant Webinar – Tue, Mar 25th *New*
Join WSU Regional Small Farms and North Olympic Development Council for a free webinar: “Farm Grants From Start to Finish: Budgets, Logistics, Reports” on how to approach grant funding for your farm business. Have you wondered if a grant is the answer to all your farm’s needs? Participants will learn about the opportunities and realities of not only finding the right grant fund to match your needs, but also the administrative logistics required to fulfill the grant deliverables. Compassionate Listening Practice Group – Tuesdays, Mar 25th through Jun 27th
Compassionate Listening is a powerful practice for peace building and lasting relationships. During this ten-week session (meets Tuesdays on Zoom 2.5 hours/week beginning March 25) you will explore new ways to listen for understanding, compassion, and connection, improving your relationships and your own self-clarity. These sessions are offered free of charge by Cam Scholey, Certified Compassionate Listening Facilitator, and Lisa Crosby who is currently in the Facilitator Certification Program. Film Screening: We Are Guardians – Sat, Mar 29th
Follow Indigenous forest guardians Marçal Guajajara and Puyr Tembé as they protect their territories from deforestation. Through intimate storytelling, the film explores the science, politics, and economics behind deforestation and its global impact, providing a deeply personal look at the fight to preserve the Amazon. PTMSC Lecture – Ocean Nomads: The Albatrosses – Sun, Mar 30th
Join PTMSC for this Future of Oceans lecture, presented by Peter Harrison, seabird expert, author, artist and conservationist.
Largest of all flying birds with lifespans that match those of humans, the 22 albatross species are the most itinerant of all life forms, capable of flying more than 1,000 miles a day and over 8.5 million miles in their lifetimes. For more information, visit the website.
