For The Birds – Nelda Swiggett Quintet – Live Music, Images, and Poetry  Invite Reflection on our Changing Climate

Local 20/20 and Olympic Climate are hosting two special performances of “For The Birds” – a multimedia jazz performance that connects audiences emotionally to the realities of climate change and carries a message of hope. You may have attended “The Alaska Suite” concert by the same composer in 2023, they are back for a second tour with an all new concert! This performance utilizes the lens of birds to tell the climate story.

Suggested Donation $10 – $20 / Students $5. Advance purchase tickets below, or at door (if space available).

Port Angeles – Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E Lopez Ave

  • 1:30 pm -1:50 pm: Talk by avian ecologist Bob Boekelheide

  • 2 – 3:30 pm- Concert

Port Townsend – Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave

  • 6 – 6:45 pm: Experts Share Tips for Transitioning to Clean Energy, and information tables

    • 6:00 – Jefferson PUD describes energy efficiency opportunities and rebates
    • 6:15 – Frederickson Electric / Cascadia Solar discusses electrification (heat pumps, EV chargers, solar, etc.)
    • 6:30 – Powertrip Solar explains the climate benefits of solar and how it meshes with the PNW grid

  • 7 – 8:30: Concert

  • 8:30 – 9 pm: Information tables

UPDATE: Local 20/20 will be collecting food for local food banks at the Port Townsend concert. Please bring non-perishable, non-expired food, and we will deliver it to the Jefferson County Food Bank Association.
