City of Port Townsend Engage PT Deadline For Organizing Group Discussions – Mon Aug 31st *New* *Online*
The City of Port Townsend is kicking off Engage PT – a yearly campaign – a clear, coordinated, and consolidated approach to community-led, integrated decision-making. A variety of issues (see list here) will come together so it’s easier to have your say on each while recognizing each initiative is integrated into holistic policy making for the City. Through Engage PT, the City intends to reach a wider diversity of our residents, recognizing that some people are simply not heard or may not have the time or interest to engage.
In this time of social distancing, community engagement in discussing some of these areas is more difficult than it otherwise might be. The City invites you to gather a group for a discussion and they will have City staff there to lead that discussion by ZOOM or GoToMeeting or by whatever socially distanced means you have access to. They want to make this a creative community process building a more cohesive, inclusive and caring community. Come be a part of the process!! If you have a group you would like to gather to join in a discussion with City Staff please contact Debbie Reid dreid@cityofpt.us or by phone 360-379-2979 before August 31st to set a time.
Note: Local 20/20 is planning on convening some groups for this, watch these announcements for more details, or contact cindy@l2020.org for more info.
