City of Port Townsend Engage PT Deadline for Organizing Group Discussions – Mon, Aug 31st *Online* The City of Port Townsend is kicking off Engage PT — a yearly campaign for a clear, coordinated, and consolidated approach to community-led, integrated decision-making. A variety of issues (see list here) come up, so it’s easier to have your say on specifics while recognizing each initiative is integrated into holistic policy making for the City. Through Engage PT, the City intends to reach a wider diversity of residents, recognizing that some have not been heard or may not have had the time or interest to engage. In this time of social distancing, community engagement in discussing some of these areas is more difficult than it otherwise might be. The City invites you to gather a group for a discussion led by City staff on ZOOM or GoToMeeting or whatever socially distanced means available. They want to make this a creative process that builds a cohesive, inclusive, and caring community. If you have a group you would like to gather to join in a discussion with City Staff, please email Debbie Reid or call her at 360-379-2979 before August 31st to set a time. Note: Local 20/20 is planning on convening some groups for this. Watch these announcements for more details, or email Cindy for more info.
