Community Discussions: Reimagining Justice & Addressing Intimate Violence – Mon, Aug 4th
Sexual and intimate partner violence is not just an individual experience—it’s a community issue with deep, lasting impacts. What would it mean to imagine a future free from violence? This discussion will also introduce Consentric Circles—a healing and learning model developed by Healing Courage that centers survivor wisdom, deep listening, and meaningful dialogue to support transformation and justice. RSVP here. Have a community or space that would benefit from this dialogue, or have other questions? Email Stephanie.

Pressing is a centuries old preservation method, used to dry seaweed for both scientific reference and as botanical art. The workshop will include discussion of seaweed life history and ecology, and provide all the materials you’ll need to create your own piece! Please make sure to get your WDFW shellfish/seaweed license before collecting seaweed on your own. Send email with any questions. This is a free event, but registration is required.
Time: 3 – 5pm | Location: WSU Classroom, 97 Oak Bay Rd., Port Hadlock
Calling Local Photographers!
Local 20/20 Weekly Announcements invites local photographers to submit images that capture the character of our community and its natural setting. For the opening photo of each weekly email (which is also posted to our website), we seek local color, horizontal (“landscape”) orientation, and jpeg format. Please no children, pets, or recognizable faces. Kindly email your photos, including your name in the jpeg filename. If you’re sending multiple images, please send one per email. We are an all-volunteer non-profit, so compensation for your talent and generosity is a photo credit and our profound thanks.
