The Intent
The Beyond Waste Action Group supports and educates local businesses, organizations and individuals in reducing their contribution to the waste stream.
If it can’t be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled or composted it should be restricted, redesigned or removed from production. — Pete Seeger

Activities, Past and Present
Originally formed in 2006, the first incarnation of Beyond Waste was involved in many projects that supported and educated local businesses, organizations and people to reuse, recycle, donate, consign or compost all materials and items that might otherwise be added to the landfill waste stream.
After a period of inactivity, the group is back in action with a high-energy, high-initiative membership. The group is currently researching waste recycling and remanufacturing initiatives and technologies related to food and pet waste, composting and soil fertility, and plastics. If you have a waste agenda that’s not listed, bring it on! We’re open to participating in or supporting a broad range of waste-related topics/projects.
