Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in Jefferson County with county-wide events happening ALL WEEK LONG!

UPDATE: Most events have been cancelled due to the COVID-19. See below for details. The hope is that most events will be postponed until a later week, perhaps in the fall.

Event Title: Stewardship Work Party: Donovan Creek Wetlands
Description: NOTE: Limited to 10 participants, sign up at link above, and check there for the latest information. Donovan Creek is home to a recovering salmon run, and birds and wildlife of all kinds. Come help cut branches and blackberry away from the protective fence around the Preserve, and help dig up blackberries that threaten to overtake our young trees.

Event Title: Weeding and Clean-up Work Party
Description: Admiralty Audubon will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by sponsoring a weeding and clean-up work party at Kah Tai Lagoon Nature Park. We will organize near the Benedict Street entrance to the park across from the Port Townsend Garden Center.  Arriving by car, park in the parking lot off of 12th Street and walk to the Benedict Street entrance. Please bring work gloves. Audubon will provide weed wrenches, garbage bags, grabbers and light refreshments.
