DSHS Mobile Office Services at Quilcene Food Bank – Wed, Feb 18th
The Department of Social and Health Services Mobile Community Office will be in Quilcene offreing services such as food benefits (SNAP), EBT cards, cash assistance and some medical programs along with other services such as eligibility reviews and updating case information.

Learn About Local Risks and Hazards – Thu, Feb 19th *New*
This presentation will focus on local risks and hazards for Jefferson County, and will include various natural and man-made hazards that could impact county residents. An understanding of the potential emergencies or disasters will help attendees and their families become prepared before any of those events occur. These monthly talks are a collaborative effort between many groups that support Jefferson County’s emergency preparedness and response.

Port Townsend Community Dance – Sat, Feb 21st *New*
The Port Townsend Community Dance is inspired by traditional kitchen and barn dances and features a mixture of traditional sets, always danced to live music along with a dance caller. All experience levels are welcome; all dances are taught!
Admission is $10 per person/$20 per family; however, no one will be turned away at the door. Please bring your own personal water bottle and consider arriving on foot or by bicycle if possible. Come alone, with a friend, with a partner, with the family – or with the whole village!

Washington Farmlands Trust Fundraiser – Sat, Feb 21st *New*
A family-friendly collection of Sasa’s kiddo entertainment, the Combo Choro Trio, Lost in the Shuffle blues, Partner Dance, and a silent auction for locally sourced items will delight and amaze. Open to all, participation is by donation. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit WA Farmlands Trust to aid the Washington State farmers affected by December’s flooding.

Natembea NW Class Series: Crop Planning – Sat, Feb 21st
Come learn from and alongside FOUR Port Townsend farmers in this unique class series. Soft Step Farm, Fig and Otter Farm, Mollayo Farm, and Cruising Climate all farm on the same chunk of land (Natembea NW) and are inviting you to come learn some of their skills, habits, and routines.

Port Townsend Repair Event – Sat, Feb 21st
Join JeffCo Repair for this free community gathering in which people with repair skills share their time and talents to fix their neighbors’ belongings. Bring your toaster that no longer toasts, sweater with a hole in the elbow, and excitement to get these belongings repaired while also learning how they did it and ways you could do it yourself next time! There will be volunteers donating their time to help repair: small appliances/electronics; textiles/clothes; bicycles; and other household items. Art Exhibit Fundraiser to benefit Gatheringplace – Sat, Feb 21st & Sun Feb 22nd *New*
The Art From the Heart exhibit and live auction is a celebration of creativity, community, and connection, and a benefit to raise critical funds for a new building. Art from program participants and local artists will be available for purchase, as well as during a live auction on Sunday at 2:30pm.
Gatheringplace is a local non-profit serving community members with intellectual disabilities.

Local 20/20 Weekly Announcements invites local photographers to submit images that capture the character of our community and its natural setting. For the opening photo of each weekly email (which is also posted to our website), we seek local color, horizontal (“landscape”) orientation, and jpeg format. Please no children, pets, or recognizable faces. Kindly email your photos, including your name in the jpeg filename. If you’re sending multiple images, please send one per email.
