See, Sea, and Sketch Drop-in Series – starting Mon, Feb 17th *New*
Come to the Port Townsend Marine Science Center’s Gallery in the Flagship Landing Building for “See, Sea and Sketch” – a series of sketching drop-in events! Bring your sketchbook and supplies to draw a variety of marine specimens from the PTMSC collection – skulls to birds to sea shells! These drop-in events are recommended for adults and children 10+ (all children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult). Admission is free, and donations are welcomed and appreciated. Stay for as little or as long as you’d like during the drop-in dates and hours listed below. This event occurs multiple times over the next two weeks. Marine Board Game Night – Thu, Feb 20th
Join the Port Townsend Marine Science Center for an extra special board game night hosted by Strange Days Comics and Games. Come by to play some ocean-themed games, bring your own favorite ocean-themed games, meet new friends, and learn new information about the Salish Sea! Emergency Preparedness Talks: Household Preparedness – Thu, Feb 20th
Do you have a family reunification plan in the event of a local disaster? And how will you communicate with them? Are you prepared to shelter in your home for an extended period? What supplies should you have on hand? When should you evacuate instead? This class will address these issues and more. Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration Film showing – Sat, Feb 22nd
This inspiring film journeys across the globe to share stories of regenerative ecosystem design for water retention. From India to Kenya to Portugal, it highlights how communities are restoring water cycles and building resilience through traditional ecological knowledge and decentralized water management.
