Jefferson County Historical Society Presents: Stories from the Rothschild House – Wed, Jul 22nd
Built in 1868, the Rothschild House is one of Washington’s most authentic historic homes. Nearly everything inside belonged to the Rothschild family, creating an extraordinary record of everyday life in Port Townsend across nearly 90 years. Presented by JCHS staff member Davy Mack-Hazelwood, the program brings the Rothschild family to life through stories, historic photographs, and archival materials. Attendees will also have a special opportunity to view original Rothschild-related objects from the collections up close, offering a tangible connection to the family’s lives. Admission is by a suggested donation of $12, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Tenant Organizing: Shared Stories, Shared Power, Collective Action – Sat, Jul 25th
Two-hour facilitated community conversations for people who rent in Jefferson County for the purpose of creating a welcoming first step toward tenant and renter power in Jefferson County. These conversations are designed to help renters feel less alone, recognize that individual struggles are connected to broader systems, and explore what might be possible when renters come together. Olympic Neighbors Summer Bash – Sun, Jul 26th
Join Olympic Neighbors for their 11th annual fundraising event, The Summer Bash! The event is FREE and open to the whole family. PTMSC Low Tide Walks: Guided Intertidal Beach Experiences – Multiple upcoming dates starting Sun, Jul 26th
Join the Port Townsend Marine Science Center for guided Low Tide Walks at Fort Worden State Park. Led by trained naturalists, these walks explore tide pools and intertidal ecosystems in the Salish Sea, offering hands-on learning about marine life and coastal processes during low tide. Local 20/20 Weekly Announcements invites local photographers to submit images that capture the character of our community and its natural setting. For the opening photo of each weekly email (which is also posted to our website), we seek local color, horizontal (“landscape”) orientation, and jpeg format. Please no children, pets, or recognizable faces. Kindly email your photos, including your name in the jpeg filename. If you’re sending multiple images, please send one per email.
