Clallam Community Wildfire Resilience Workshop – Mon, May 11th *New*
OCA, Clallam County Emergency Management, and multiple partners invite you to an informative workshop focused on wildfire impacts on the Olympic Peninsula—and the steps you can take to protect yourself, your family, and your home. This event marks the public rollout of the newly-completed Clallam County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), a community-driven effort developed in collaboration with multiple agencies and local residents. Ergonomics and Body Care for Gardeners – Tue, May 12th

Friends of the East Jefferson County Trails Connections Public Meeting – Thu, May 14th *Updated*
PS2P funds have been released to WSDOT. Get ready for trail gap activities to increase! Steve Durrant, project director for Puget Sound to Pacific Collaborative, will provide an update on the status of the 2023 RAISE grant for trail gap planning, about route options between the Hood Canal Bridge and the ODT, and about a potential new alignment connecting Quilcene to the ODT at Discovery Bay.

Lemurs and Wolves and Bats, Oh My! – Thu, May 14th *New*
Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of pollinators. Think that only bees and butterflies are pollinators? Judy Conlow, a Master Gardener and retired Naval attorney will share secrets she’s learned about pollinators, including their identities. Spoiler alert: pollinators aren’t just bees and butterflies. Enjoy an around-the world tour with Judy at the helm. This presentation, sponsored by the Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation and WSU Extension, is free and open to the public. Please note that this event will be at a new location.

Nordland Garden Club Plant Sale – Sat, May 16th
Calling all gardeners! It is time for the Nordland Garden Club plant sale! Great opportunity to stock up on your favorite outdoor and indoor plants. Lots of perennials, annuals, shrubs, herbs, succulents and veggie starts with varieties and large sizes not found in nurseries.
Terrific selection of plants, garden treasures, yard art, containers, cloches, a raffle and much more. Proceeds help fund our local and community service projects.
