Local 20/20 TLab Meeting – Mon, May 27th
The Transportation Lab is a Local 20/20 Action Group working to promote a transportation system that minimizes the need for personal motor vehicles. Such a transportation system must be safe, convenient, and healthy, and it must be based on walking, the most healthful mode; bicycling, the most efficient mode; mass transit, the most efficient for moving large numbers of people; and a vastly reduced personal and service VMT (vehicle miles traveled). TLab meets the fourth Monday of every month, and welcomes anyone interested in these issues to attend. Meeting location varies; for current location or for more information, please contact Richard.

North Olympic Salmon Coalition’s 2nd Annual Community Tour: “Restoring the Snow and Salmon Creek Watershed: 30 Years of Salmon Recovery” – Sun, Jun 2nd
Join the North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) for “Restoring the Snow and Salmon Creek Watershed: 30 Years of Salmon Recovery.” Flowing from the foothills of the Olympic Mountains to the salty waters of Discovery Bay, the Snow and Salmon Creek Watershed is home to coho, steelhead, and federally listed Hood Canal Summer Chum. The story of its restoration spans many decades of collaboration between the Salmon Coalition, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Jefferson Land Trust, local landowners, and community members. Come for an afternoon of exploring this watershed-wide effort in restoration. The event will begin at the Haybarn at Finnriver Farm & Cidery and will conclude with a tour at the recently completed restoration project at the Snow Creek Uncas Preserve. This community event is free and open to the public. Find more information and RSVP here. Contact NOSC with questions at (360) 504-5611 or by email.
Time: 1 – 3:45 pm | Location: Begins at Finnriver Farm & Cidery, 124 Center Rd, Chimacum
