Transportation Lab (TLAB) meeting – Mon, Oct 28th
The Transportation Lab is a Local 20/20 Action Group working to promote a transportation system that minimizes need for personal motor vehicles. Such a transportation system must be safe, convenient and healthy, and it must be based on: people walking, the most healthful mode; people bicycling, the most efficient mode; mass transit, the most efficient for moving large numbers of people; private vehicles for providing services and moving small numbers of people. In person, monthly on the fourth Monday.

Screenings of short film Dark and Tender – Fri & Sat, Nov 1st & 2nd *New*
The community is invited to attend one of two screenings of Dark and Tender, a short film by the Chronically UnderTouched (CUT) Project that was produced locally by Color of Sound and shot on location at the Whidbey Institute. Aaron Johnson’s powerful short film “Dark and Tender” follows ten Black men on a transformative retreat. The men seek to reclaim platonic intimacy and tenderness through close encounters with nature and depictions of gentle Black masculinity, restoring the vital aspect of touch by replacing violence and rough play with care, connection, and intimacy. This event will include an opening talk by director Aaron Johnson, a screening of the short film, Q&A, and a song circle led by Aaron. Reserve your tickets for Friday, Nov 1st or Saturday, Nov 2nd.
Time: 7 – 9pm both dates | Location: Rose Theatre, 235 Taylor St, Port Townsend
