Sign up now to participate in the internationally recognized Drawdown Ecochallenge, which runs from April 3-24! The Drawdown EcoChallenge is a fun and social way to learn about and take measurable action on the most substantive solutions to climate change. It provides an interactive online platform for individuals to obtain researched and effective ways to reduce our collective carbon footprint, select the actions they would like to take, track and share their progress progress online in a robust platform and earn points for taking action! These solutions are outlined in the book Drawdown by Paul Hawkins, which focuses on proven actions that are backed by science and within the grasp of our communities. Actions include not only personal behavior options, but also broader policy and community opportunities. Participants can join an existing team or create a new one. And it is free and open to all.
We currently have a Local 20/20 team (which all are welcome to join) and a Port Townsend Marine Science Center team, and QUUF Green Sanctuary is forming one. And we encourage other Jefferson County organizations to create their own!
For questions on the Jefferson County effort, contact Cindy Jayne at cindy@l2020.org, or Mandi Johnson at (480) 215-4403.
