Jefferson County Library Disaster Preparedness: Disaster Mental Health – Thu, Aug 20th *New*
The speaker will be Discovery Behavioral Healthcare’s Dana Milagrosa, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Child Mental Health Specialist. This presentation will describe basic responses to post-disaster stress and ways to prepare before an event occurs. Information will be provided to help individuals assist others after an event with emphasis on personal and community resiliency. Register to save your spot.

Tenant Organizing: Shared Stories, Shared Power, Collective Action – Sat, Aug 22nd
Two-hour facilitated community conversations for people who rent in Jefferson County for the purpose of creating a welcoming first step toward tenant and renter power in Jefferson County. These conversations are designed to help renters feel less alone, recognize that individual struggles are connected to broader systems, and explore what might be possible when renters come together. Northwest Herbal Fair – Sun, Aug 23rd
The Northwest Herbal Fair features over 20 workshops on herbal medicine, lots of herbal product vendors, herb garden tours, fun and music. Join herbalists, plant lovers, healers, growers, and community members for a day of learning, connection, and celebration. The Herbal Vendor Village is free to the general public. There is an admission fee for the workshops.
